“O Holy Night” Scrabble Ornament

I just love the song “Oh Holy Night”! It’s a favorite Christmas carol with such powerful words and melody. This scrabble ornament is based on those words and an inspirational idea found on Etsy. Since I didn’t have the small figures and wanted it to be lighter in weight, I added the star at the top of the Scrabble letters.

O Holy Night Scrabble Ornament grandparentsplus.com

If you don’t have Scrabble letters, search online for them, find them at your local craft store, or look for Scrabble games at a thrift store.

Materials:

Scrabble Letters:  O,-2, H-2, L-1, Y-1, N-1, I-1, G-1, T-1

Small star (wooden or foam) I used a 3/4 inch wide wooden star.

Gold Tinsel Stems

Gold ribbon or string for hanging

Directions:

Step 1  – Glue scrabble tiles together and let dry completely  I found that using a stronger glue worked better.

I used GOOP.

Step 2 – Cut 2 Gold Tinsel stems-  1- two inches long, 1- three inches long

Step 3 – Fold tinsel stems in half and glue tinsel stems onto back of star.

Step 4 – Glue Star onto Scrabble letter “O”

Step 5 – Glue ribbon or string on back of star for hanging.

Listen to the song while making this O Holy Night Scrabble Ornament….

With the ornament done, hang on your tree! It’s what Christmas is all about!

Enjoy!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3

Part 3 of the Fall Idea House 2016 has loads of fall decorating ideas that give you inspiration for your own home. If you missed Part 1 and Part 2, you’ll want to check them out, too. In this post, I will show you features that caught my eye. Remember, this home is decorated three times a year by a team of decorators.

fall-idea-house-2016-part 3

I’ll take you through the bedrooms, craft room, office, craft room, small vintage bathroom, living room and sunroom. I’m highlighting lots of ideas so let’s go!………

The two bedrooms feature unique headboard ideas.

The master bedroom uses assorted wood boards attached to the wall for a headboard. Layered on top is artwork of white trees on glass. The wood boards show right through it.

Fall idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

The headboard in the guest room uses metal wall art.

Fall idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Other features in the master bedroom include these layering ideas for wall art.

Fall idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Use two table runners layered behind art work to give it added color and texture.

Fall idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Next, we go to a craft room.  Wow! Here’s two unusual ideas of String Art! It’s not just for kids anymore!

Fall idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Notice the revolving metal hardware bin that holds all the paint. On another wall, there’s a vintage iron panel with lights and wall art.

Fall idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Have you ever thought of using vintage aprons for a window valance?

Fall idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Now, someone thought “out of the box” when they decorated this vintage bathroom. A small boat-shaped container hangs on the wall for towels. Another idea is to use an old mailbox for a toilet paper holder. Also, just above the sink are several glass containers in a wire basket attached to a salvaged board. And that’s not all….

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

By using several coordinating shades of taupe napkins attached to a rod, it makes an attractive valance on this small bathroom window. For a small bathroom, it is big on ideas!

Fall Idea House 2016 part 3 grandparentsplus.com

The office is next!!

“Watch out” when you walk into the office! This would be a good “time-out” room, too! Perhaps it’s a reminder that it’s “time” to get to work! I could go on and on, but I won’t!  (Sorry, I just couldn’t resist!)

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Another view of the office…..

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

The last area on this tour of decorating ideas, is the living room and sun-room. Another layering idea uses shutters behind framed pictures along with a basket filled with fall stems.

The coffee table is a wood-topped metal bench layered with a striped dish towel for a table runner.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Above the fireplace several sections of metal leaves layered with ceramic bird houses make a big impact. In the fireplace, two garden trellises along with a garden stool support pumpkins and garden mums.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

The sunroom has more seating and uses a bench as a coffee table.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

A vintage metal work bench serves as a side table. On top of the bench is a rug for a table runner along with a vintage cutting board holding several pottery items.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

I found two craft ideas that make great gifts. One was in the sunroom resting on a book and the other was in the kitchen. The first is a bookmark made from the spine of an old leather book. It is simply glued to a backing. I think it looks awesome!

The second is a recipe holder made from a small shutter. They added a piece so it stands.  Two decorative drawer pulls hold the recipe in place!

Did you find some ideas for your home? This was better than a magazine, right? No advertising!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

This is the second in a series of peeks into an Idea House full of beautiful decor and vintage finds for the fall season. In Part 1 of Fall Idea House 2016, I mentioned all the layering that I saw. That trend continues in Part 2 as well. Notice, also, the cool blues and mixed metals.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

Remember, it’s a group of decorators that transform this house three times a year with “what’s new” and repurposed items. I’m taking you on this visual tour of ideas and sharing what I’ve found. Everything is beautifully done. Let’s go…..

First, as you enter this house, the dining room is the room that you notice. The centerpiece on the table is elegant and has lots of texture and cool blue color. The tall birch-like vases are filled with any filler (beans, rice, etc.) and then a votive glass sits on top!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

Here’s a close up of the layering on the table and place-setting. Wallpaper or even wrapping paper would work, too!

Look closely at the centerpiece….. bring out those tiny LED lights and use them anytime to make a centerpiece sparkle!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

In this picture, you can see the wood plank that the centerpiece sits on. It adds another layer to the center of the table.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

Above the buffet, the two pictures alone on the wall wouldn’t look balanced, but by layering with two wood pieces, it looks just right in proportion to the space. (another layering idea)

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

Next, we walk into the cute vintage kitchen. In the center is a small vintage looking chopping block. Looks like breakfast is being served to guests!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

Salvaged wooden planks line the open shelving. A large copper plate with a wooden squirrel serves as wall art.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

A deep copper mirror provides a wall shelf above the range. On each side, decorative copper lines the candle holders, too.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

One the side of the stove, a vintage shelving unit serves as an organizer for kitchen supplies.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

Here’s another example of layering….   The wall clock is attached to a salvaged metal grid and under it all is a piece of copper.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

This copper wall planter filled with herbs is another metallic accent.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

This is not the best picture, (I apologize) but I wanted to show this easy idea for a curtain. They used a dish towel and attached it to a piece of salvage wood with upholstery tacks. EASY!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

In the small vintage bathroom, there are two mirrors side by side. Above the stool, three small repurposed drawers are topped with a salvaged board for a shelf.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

The old vintage sink is skirted with a copper metallic fabric to hide the plumbing in keeping with the metal theme.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

In the hallway to the upstairs bedrooms, there are large rectangles painted with copper paint. Then, it is layered with an old fence section and topped with a mirror.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

The last idea for this post is at the top of the stairs. The same theme continues by using a large copper painted rectangle, two fence sections, three metal flowers and a coordinating print. The end product looks beautiful!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2

Remember, when you don’t have the right size piece for a large wall space, think of how you can layer and make it work!

Happy Decorating!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Ready for some new ideas for your fall decorating and entertaining? You’ll find lots of ideas that can be easily incorporated into your own home. A team of decorators transform this house, three times a year, highlighting new trends, colors, and vintage finds. Of course, the vintage finds are repurposed in many creative ways. Be sure to look for them. I’m sure you’ll be inspired!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Before you even enter the house, the garage and yard are totally decorated. Lanterns and metal scarecrows adorn the landscape for fall.

Fall Idea House 2016

On the end of the garage, wooden cutouts set off the window box of fall foliage.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Next, the garage is set up as a bar. On the door, was a beer bottle wreath!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

On the tables, I thought the metal coasters were great!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Back outside, they didn’t forget the outdoor fireplace!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Beautiful fall container gardens greet you before you enter the house. Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Coppery-orange dried blooms linked together with pink mums in the flower box on the front of the home welcome everyone driving by.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

There is a layering theme running through this house. As you walk into the front porch, a beautiful table is set for a luncheon or dinner. One the table, shipping paper is used as a runner with an orange and green runner over it while adding a salvaged wooden cupboard door on top. The centerpiece display sits on top of the wooden door. Metal cans are used as vase for floral stems as well as candle holders.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

The place settings are layered as well. Galvanized metal candle plates make interesting saucers for the mugs.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Up above, a vintage bank teller gate hangs as a ceiling grid with the fall bittersweet foliage.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Napkins wrapped with raffia and a bittersweet accent are easy to do and look striking!

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Finally, raffia and bittersweet stems are, also, used as tie-back accents on the valance making the porch complete for a festive, fall occasion.

Fall Idea House 2016 Part 1

Did you find some ideas?

This is just a small part of the Idea House. Come back for more ideas in Fall Idea House 2016 Part 2.

Sunflower Tablescape

For fall, sunflowers fit right in. They are so cheery and beautiful. Using sunflowers for a Sunflower Tablescape makes a perky, fun table-setting. Lots of china colors go with sunflowers. You can use gold and brown, red, burgundy, white, blue or greens as I have done. This tablescape is also cost-friendly with ideas that you can do in your own home.

Sunflower Tablescape grandparentsplus.com

I like to mix china. This set was one that I had at our cabin for many years. You won’t believe what I paid for it. I got it on a closeout at a discount store and paid $8 for 4 (5 piece) place settings! I bought 4-4 placesetting boxes!

Sunflower Tablescape grandparentsplus.com

Along with the green checked china, I’ve used my green depression glass salad plates and jello molds. Yes, those little green cups are vintage jello molds. (in picture below) I use them to serve a scoop of sherbet, shrimp cocktail, fresh fruit, veggies and dip, sauces, etc.

Sunflower Tablescape grandparentsplus.com

The centerpiece was one that I already had, but it didn’t have the yellow sunflowers. So, I merely inserted a few to go with the theme. Check out Fall Tablesetting to see how it originally looked.

Sunflower Tablescape grandparentsplus.com

I made the sunflower napkin rings. They are so easy! Instructions on to make them are on Fall Idea House #2.

On a clearance sale after Christmas, I found a large green checked tablecloth on sale for four dollars and made the napkins from it. It’s a good way to get inexpensive napkins, if you can sew a straight-stitch. Buy the 120 inch tablecloth and you will get around 15-20 napkins out of it depending on napkin size.

So, have fun mixing up china, making napkin rings, and sewing napkins!

Now, “serve with style” with your cost-friendly sunflower tablescape!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4

The Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 is the last post for this season on fun ways to merge both new and vintage pieces in usual ways. Remember, this house is done by a team of creative decorators that try new trends and ideas to inspire you!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

There is something in each room and will spur your own creativity on how to use these ideas in your own home. Come along and be inspired…..

The first room is a garden themed room.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

Notice the side table. They used a planter and placed a glass top on it. Makes an easy table, right?

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

The pressed fern artwork on the wall is a great project to do. Press fronds between black paper backing and the glass for easy-to-do DIY wall art.

The next room uses the colors of black, white, and coral. Don’t have a headboard? No problem! Use white paint or even chalk to outline one on the wall.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

Black and white wallpaper is framed at 3/4 height on the walls. The unique part of this paper is that you can color the flowers the accent color of the room. Here, they have used coral.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

Would you think of using an upside down basket as a light? It’s accented with coral artificial stems.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

The master bedroom looks restful with the color scheme of gray, white and fresh green accents. The vintage chest is missing the doors but the baskets are perfect for out of sight storage. So don’t throw out an old chest if the doors are missing!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

The bedside table is unique using metal trays.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

In the corner of the bedroom, a large green fern accents the grey and white color scheme. The side table is actually a bird bath with glass added on the top!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

The upstairs vintage bathroom uses a metal feeding trough as a container for green foliage. Flowers and butterflies bring a spring accent to the top of the shower curtain. Do you decorate your shower curtain for the season?

Two more ideas for the bathroom are using a ladder with added towel bars and an entrance grate used as wall art!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

The main living room of the Spring Idea House highlights another use for the metal looking “Fasade” used above the fireplace. This is the third idea for using that product. If you missed the other two ideas, you might want to click on Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3.  It has so many more possibilities. The product was created for a back-splash, but now it’s limitless in uses.

Check out the clock on the left. It’s made from a ceiling medallion with clock works added to it.  The numbers are white ceramic birds flying around the medallion.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

The coffee table is a vintage, round industrial fan piece from a factory. A glass top and metal legs turn it into a functional table.  Spring Idea House Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

The non-working fireplace filled with a fountain, lanterns, and greenery make it a focal point for the room.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

A barn door is permanently hung behind the sofa as wall art with two floral pictures to balance it out.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

Here’s a closer look at how they filled three different sized glass columns. I like the different variations.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

In the sunroom, a table is ready for a luncheon. Lots of coral accents here in the pillows, dishes, placemats, flowers, and napkins!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

Remember the vintage ceiling tile wallpaper used as an accent in the dining room? If you missed it, go to Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 to see it. In the sunroom,it is used again.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

What idea did you like the best? Some of the vintage items are “one-of-a-kind” finds, but at least it opens your mind to what you can do with something similar!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 4 grandparentsplus.com

I hope you enjoyed the new ideas found in these four posts. I’m always open for unique ways to decorate. Are you?

Thanks for pinning and spreading these ideas around.

While I have so many upcoming ideas to share with you, I need to take a blogging break this summer. Life has changed as I’ve lost my husband to Multiple Myeloma. There’s a huge void in my life and I feel it best to not be constrained to a time line and take some time for myself and family. I plan on being back in the fall.

Visit my blog once in a while and look up past posts as I have lots of great recipes and ideas for your summer, too! Hope you understand.

Thanks for stopping by. I know God is in control. While I have peace in knowing  that my husband, who knew the Jesus as his Lord and Savior, is in a better place, it still is hard.

Thanks,

Phyllis

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Don’t you love new ideas for your home decorating? Well, this Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 brings a lot more ideas that are easy to merge in your own home. As I’ve stated in Part 1 and Part 2, this home is decorated by a group of designers and uses new trends and products along with many vintage finds. I’m sure you’ll find lot of inspiration here!

First, when you have a large area on a wall to decorate, but just don’t have something that makes it look right in proportion to the space, use this idea. The background looks like vintage tin tiles, but it a product called Fasade. It is available at Home Depot or Menards. You can buy and adjust the size to your needs. Then, hang smaller pictures or decor to balance the space. Doesn’t this look fantastic? Just wait until you see another way it is used. Keep reading….

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

At the top of the stairs at the landing, three rustic lanterns hang. All are filled with flowers instead of  candles.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

One of the upstairs bedrooms is decorated with polka dots! These are all stamped out of an adhesive paper and applied to the wall. I love this look, don’t you?

Notice the polka dots painted on the lamp beside the bed.

Also, did you notice the headboard is made with the same Fasade as you saw in the hallway?

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Here’s a closer look……   Now, that would be easy to do. Just apply it to a piece of plywood.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

The curtains have small polka dots, too!  Small milk glass pieces with flowers hang down from the rod.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

More polka dots here!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

The glass terrarium has a fairy garden inside…..

Spring Idea House 2016 part 3 grandparentsplus.com

A vintage piece placed on top of a table creates a one of a kind desk.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

This “LOVE” shelf is so cute and certainly wouldn’t be hard to make for a room.  Great idea! This is one to save for later!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

The next room is a garden room. The garden gates hanging on the wall make a lovely way to display beautiful cards.

Spring Idea House 2016 part 3 grandparentsplus.com

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3

This is an easy idea and great addition to your decor. Take fern fronds and press them into a frame using a black background. Now, you have instant wall decor for a garden room.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 3 grandparentsplus.com

So many fun ideas packed into a few spaces! I’m sure your creative juices are flowing and now you’ll want to remember many of these ideas for use in your own home.

Vignette with Dried Hydrangeas

I do enjoy using my dried hydrangeas in arrangements! This hydrangea variety is a new one that I bought  two years ago, but it didn’t produce any flowers until last year. Oh, they are so delicate and vivid in color. After picking them, I made a vignette with dried hydrangeas on the English antique side table in my bedroom. The color has not faded one bit through the winter. They look as lovely as the day I made the arrangement.

Vignette with Dried Hydrangeas grandparentsplua.com

I picked up the cute pitcher at an antique store. I had intended to strip it down to just the copper, but instead I left it with the chrome and copper . I liked the variations of color and texture.

The elongated hydrangeas worked well with the narrow pitcher. I was also limited with the dried blooms so needed something to fit the small number of hydrangeas I had available. Next fall, there will be more!
Vignette with Dried Hydrangeas grandparentsplus.com

This dried hydrangea came from the variety called Pinky Winky! Yes, that’s the real name! The bushes do need some care as hydrangeas do not flower on old wood.  On this variety, you need to cut back the old blooms about half-way in the fall or early spring and the new growth will then produce flowers again. Always ask your nursery on how to care for your hydrangea bushes.

In the Washing state area, I’m always envious of the variety of hydrangea bush colors. I wish we could grow some of them in our area. Their vivid colors are so striking.  Alas, our zone and tough winters are too hard on them. So, instead of lamenting the fact that I can’t grow them, I’m happy to have this new, favorite variety. I wonder how many flowers will come this next fall.

Do you grow hydrangeas?

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2

Part 2 for the Spring Idea House is another glimpse into the ideas and new trends for decor using both new and vintage finds. This house is prepared by a team of decorators that come up with new ways to incorporate unique items into your home decor. If you missed Part 1, you’ll want to check that out, too!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

Right as you enter the main part of the house, a small vintage table is highlighted and made more important by the added salvaged wood pieces placed behind it. The added mirror and drawer pulls also add interest. The beautiful tall arrangement gives it color and height. When a small piece of furniture doesn’t work, add something tall behind it!

Now, as you enter the dining room, the table is set for an elegant party! Grey, the new neutral, becomes the base with pops of coral accents in the flowers, napkins, and table runners. The bottom layer of the table is actually wallpaper that looks like vintage ceiling tiles.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

The same wallpaper makes an accent behind the four mirrors above the sofa table. I actually thought the tiles were actual ones until I touched the wallpaper. They carefully attached the paper with staples instead of hanging it.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

Back to the dining room table…… Such an interesting and fun way to use color and drama with just a napkin! Placing it in the wine glass adds height and certainly shows it off!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

The buffet has an assortment of gray vases, white chunky candle sticks, and a dramatic spring arrangement of coral flowers and pussy willows.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

While the kitchen is small, it doesn’t lack for decorating ideas. Vintage blocks, placed on a metal industrial frame, form a unique work island. The top is covered with glass for easy cleaning.

On the far wall, a vintage sifter, with an added shelf inside, makes a perfect accent for the wall.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

Repeated square metal serving pieces, with decorative inserts, fit perfectly in this little cove in the kitchen.

The clock is mounted on top of an old wire rack.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

Over the stove, wall art certainly makes this area beautiful.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

A small bathroom has a farm (cows and chickens) flavor. Over the sink and stool, an old wire gate with an added shelf, looks amazing while a clothes line holds hand towels.

The vintage sink has a skirt of chicken wire and fabric to hide the plumbing.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

How’s this for a unique toilet paper holder?

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1 grandparentsplus.com

Finally, a mounted metal rake serves as a place to hang your purse or scarves as you enter the back door.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 2 grandparentsplus.com

What a variety of decor ideas! Some are easy to do while some will take finding just the right object. Perhaps you have some of these objects stored in your garage and now the inspiration comes to you on how to make it into something special! That’s fun!

Don’t forget to come back for the next two posts for more decor ideas! Can’t wait to show you!

Hope you enjoyed the variety of ideas.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1

Yes, Spring is here and it’s time for the Spring Idea House 2016. I’m excited to bring this to you as there are so many beautiful and fun ideas shared along with lots of repurposed vintage pieces . Several decorators work together on this project three times a year and each time I think it can’t be better than the last, but it is!

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1 grandparentsplus.com

The new trends in this house include grey being the new neutral, lots of floral patterns, terrariums, and an energetic pop of coral color.

Because there are so many ideas, this idea house will be covered in four parts. This first part will cover the outside and front porch.

Now, on to the Spring ideas!  The outside container gardens and flower boxes are done in the colors of white, pink and lavender. Pussy willows and birch logs accent the floral creations and give them height and drama.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1 grandparentsplus.com

….just a bit more whimsical

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1 grandparentsplus.com

Tall grasses, pink flowers, and trailing vines in this container, make the outside fireplace a focal point.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1 grandparentsplus.com

This front porch is set for a Spring Garden Luncheon. Small terracotta pots hold the napkins which are rolled up to look like red roses! They are so cute and certainly fit it with theme of the table. Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWuRhm99LIg to watch the video on how to make these roses.

The terra-cotta saucers make nice coasters for the cups while the silverware is decorated with ribbon, an artificial flower, and placed in the wooden tool boxes. They look like flowers just blooming.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1 grandparentsplus.com

The table linens are colorful table runners on top of a roll of moss used lengthwise on the table.

Spring Idea House 2016 Part 1 grandparentsplus.com

A variety of colorful dishtowels and ribbon decorate each chair. These same ideas are easy to do with your own decor for a garden party!
