When thinking of Spring Decorating,thoughts of gardening naturally come to mind. Someone thought of this unusual idea! Well, using a garden hose as an area rug is different and really makes a statement. It’s truly an “out of the box” idea for a garden-themed room.
Notice the pieces of garden hose used as curtain tie-backs, too. Old tires filled with floral arrangements become part of the garden display as well.
A re-purposed, metal garden gate becomes an interesting backdrop for a wall display. Behind the gate is artificial grass. It gives a nice, textured, color background for the attached items.
Another Spring Decorating idea with a garden theme is the ceiling light. An upside down, old metal garden basket surrounds the light. Artificial greenery is at the top and seed packets decorate the edges.
Large display walls in the hallway use old screens as a background accent.
Here they used a small vintage screen and simply accented it with a pair of hooks.
Three vintage screens the same height make a dramatic backdrop for a display of smaller items.
